Sunday's concerts were a great way to end our 5th season!  We very much enjoyed making music with these groups of kids one more time!  

There were many volunteers that helped put our concert together.  Thank-you to those of you who did publicity and those who helped the day of the concert feeding children or being greeters or any other behind the scenes work.  A special thank-you to Tina Briars for making our concert program. Our rehearsal and performance assistants were great throughout the year. And lastly, a HUGE thanks to Nancy Champion and Sharol Dapkus for volunteering pretty much every single week during rehearsals. 

Did anyone take any video of the concert that you would like to post on Youtube?  We definately need an updated Youtube presence.  When you search "Children's Choir of Northwest Ohio" on Youtube the only videos that come up are one of the very first concerts we had 5 years ago and they are simply not representative of who we are now.  Sooo...I am encouraging any of you that took some video to  get it out there for us and make sure you include the full name of our organization! 

Monday, May 7 from 6-7 we will hold an audition prep class for any new children interested in auditioning for next year's group.  If you know of anyone who has expressed an interest, this is a great way for both child and parent to discover what CCofNWO is all about so we encourage you to pass on information about this free class!

Even though choir is not in session, the Kroger Rewards program is an easy way for us to be supported by our community. Every May Kroger Rewards customers must re-register at Krogercommunityrewards.com for their rewards points to go to the organization of their choice.  Please take a few minutes to renew your commitment to CCofNWO.  It is a painless away to support the choir if you are a Kroger shopper. Others such as grandparents, neighbors and friends can sign up as well.  Our NPO number is 81630.  Step by step instructions are in the downloads tab of the ccofnwo.org website. 

Is your child certain that he or she is returning to choir in the Fall?  If so, take advantage of our offer to save your child's spot, and save you from any price increases in next year's tuition.  If you send a $75.00 deposit by June 1, your child will not have to audition for next year and you will pay this year's tuition rate for the group he/she will be in next year.  Doing this helps us plan for next year and also saves you some money.  It's a win/win!  Checks should be sent to PO Box 2442, Whitehouse, OH, 43571 by June 1st.Jubliate parents will be getting a separate email with our recommendation for which group your child should be in next year.

Mark your calendars for Wed., July 25 from 7:30-9:30 pm for a CCofNWO party at Rolf Park in Maumee!  Rolf Park is the park in Maumee on Cass Road with the waterslides.  We will have the whole park to ourselves for this totally free family outing! Each choir member should have at least one parent in attendance and siblings are encouraged to join in on the fun. This event is for all families from the 2011-12 season.  Look for an announcement in July with more specific information. 

A child's white sweatshirt jacket with multi-colored hearts was left at the church on Sunday.  Please email back to arrange pickup! 

Do you still have choir music?  If you do, you can drop it off during the audition prep class this coming Monday or send it to PO Box 2442, Whitehouse, OH 43571. Families who have not returned music will be billed $20.00/folder. 

Thank-you again for choosing the Children's Choir of Northwest Ohio as an extracurricular activity for your child.  We feel that learning music and performance skills has many benefits for your child, both within the world of music and without.  Have a great summer and we look forward to seeing you on July 25th for our reunion party!
